Bienstock Receives INFORMS Fellow Award

Daniel Bienstock, Professor of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research and of Applied Physics and Applied Mathematics, was named a Fellow of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS), the leading professional association for analytics professionals.
Prof. Bienstock received the award "for his fundamental contributions to the methodology of modeling and solving difficult optimization problems, like securing electric power‐grid safety, shaping the contours of an ore‐mine over time, or fighting certain epidemics."
