Chan Featured in NanoWerk

Siu-Wai Chan, Professor of Materials Science and Engineering in the APAM Department, and Dave Schubert, from the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, were featured in a spotlight article "Could nanoparticles be designed to become potent antioxidants?" in NanoWerk.

The research paper, "Cerium and yttrium oxide nanoparticles are neuroprotective," was published in the Feb. 3, 2006 online edition of Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications.
