Plasma Physics and Magnetic Confinement Fusion (Tokamaks and Stellarators) both experimentally and via numerical modelling, with emphasis on:

- Microwave Heating, Current Drive and Diagnostics

- Magnetohydrodynamic Instabilities and their Control
