Sobel: Recent Hurricanes and Extreme Weather
Prof. Adam Sobel was featured in several articles and interviews about the recent rash of devastating hurricanes and storms.
Sobel is a Professor of Applied Physics and Applied Mathematics and of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Columbia University. He also directs Columbia's Initiative on Extreme Weather and Climate. His research area is meteorology with a focus on atmospheric and climate dynamics, tropical meteorology, and extreme weather. He is the author of "Storm Surge: Hurricane Sandy, Our Changing Climate, and Extreme Weather of the Past and Future."
