Sobel Wins Mentoring Award

Prof. Adam Sobel won the 2010 Lamont Mentoring Award given by the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory.
Sobel was promoted to Full Professor as of July 1, 2010 and he was the 2010 recipient of the American Meteorological Society's Clarence Leroy Meisinger Award. He holds a joint appointment with the APAM Department and the Earth and Environmental Science Department and is a member of Lamont's Division of Ocean and Climate Physics. His areas of expertise include atmospheric science, geophysical fluid dynamics, tropical meteorology, and climate dynamics.
