Wiggins and Colleagues Win DSI Seed Funds Award

Chris H. Wiggins, Associate Professor of Applied Mathematics; along with Nikolaus Kriegeskorte, Professor of Psychology and Director of Cognitive Imaging at the Mortimer B. Zuckerman Mind Brain Behavior Institute; Nima Mesgarani, Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering; and Trenton Jerde, Lecturer in Professional Studies; were awarded DSI Seed Funds.
Their grant proposal, titled “p(true): Distilling Truth by Community Rating of Claims on the Web,” was selected as one of the awardees for the inaugural Data Science Institute (DSI) Seed Funds Program at Columbia University which will provide up to $100,000 for the first year funding period.
