Navratil Appointed Thomas Alva Edison Professor of Applied Physics

Gerald Navratil was appointed the new Thomas Alva Edison Professor of Applied Physics.

He follows in the footsteps of Herbert Goldstein, Professor of Nuclear Science and Engineering, who was appointed the Thomas Alva Edison Professor of Applied Physics in 1984 and was the first to hold the professorship at the University.
